Tremendous
This podcast has given me a foundation for analytical and economic thinking and has set me on a path of discovery through Smith, Mises, Bastiat, Hayek, etc. 2 years into reading classic economics I am still amazed at how much I can understand about human action, policies, and institutions by understanding basic principles. Russ does a tremendous job of covering the "low hanging fruit" and slowing the conversation to elaborate on unfamiliar/complex principles. There is never a podcast where I walk away unclear or confused about the principles discussed. Tremendous!Read full review »

The guests on this podcast are brilliant and thought-provoking. I gave it four rather than five stars because the host; Russ Roberts, seems just a bit arrogant and it irritates me. Still, EconTalk is definitely worth the time.

If you're even remotely interested in the economic way of thinking about the world, this podcast has it all. Roberts is a genial, accepting host who isn't afraid to disagree with his interviewee on substantive grounds. This is what discussion should be.Read full review »
