I’m listening to this for the first time today (yeah I’m a bit late...), and it’s made my day so much better. I’ve been incredible touched by the episodes I’ve listened to because it feels like... we don’t get to have this. Queer folks don’t get our stories told like this. When you’re little, you...Read full review »

It’s really just a mix of emotions listening to this podcast. Listening to everyone’s story was amazing and I want to thank them for sharing. Some things close to my experiences others the complete opposite, new perspectives, episodes that made me tear up and ones that had a smile plastered on my...Read full review »

thank you, thank you, thank you, to sophie and to all of their guests for putting this out to the world. it is so important to me as a young queer trans person to hear adults talking about being queer and trans, and to know that you get to go on, and to be a little messy, and a little...Read full review »

In a show about love, I was so so grateful to hear from an aspec person! As an ace myself, I rarely ever get to see that aspect of my identity in media - let alone hear someone else process their relationship with romance and sexuality. I really resonated with Ryan’s discussion about wanting “a...Read full review »

This is so beautiful, thank you for bringing this into the world:) I’m sure I’ll have many more things to say as I catch up, but I just want to say how much I appreciate Noah putting all of my current relationship weirdness into concrete language. 1000/10, would highly recommend!!

I can't write a proper review for my life, but both episodes so far touched my heart and I just had to get it out there. As a queer enby person myself, these stories hit home in a way that hurts and heals. I'm still growing into myself, so hearing from other trans and queer people...Read full review »

This reached right into my chest to grip my heart and shake loose all sorts of feelings I forgot I had. It was touching, and honest, and I may have cried an alarming amount. Please please please listen to this!

Sophie has embedded love into every aspect of this story — a love for not only the guests on their show, but a joy in their craft and the beautiful, underrepresented identities they explore. Instead of a formal, interview-esque presentation, the first episode with Noah Simes feels as if you’ve...Read full review »

Pasting this review on behalf of a friend who can’t do it herself: “This podcast made me feel seen in a very real way I had not experienced before. I am looking forward to the next 8 episodes. 5 (million) stars.”

I really enjoyed this first episode and the podcast itself is looking to be a very lovely experience! Can’t wait for the next episode to drop and to hear more stories from those in the lgbt+ community!

This show is so calm and doesn’t add anything to detract from the stories being told. Listening to the first episode felt like sitting down with a friend. There is an overall feeling of open arms and acceptance for any experience. Sophie Kaner has created a podcast “welcome home” sign for...Read full review »

I love the Penumbra so much, not least of all for it’s wide variety of queer representation in a rich fictional landscape... I had no idea how much non-fictional queer stories would mean to me, until I listened to the first episode of Edges. My heart feels very full after listening to this.

It feels very natural and you can tell that it is two friends in a conversation. The only criticism I have is that initially there seems to be a lot of awkward silence. Some pauses are fine, for example, when Noah is pausing to organise his thoughts before speaking. I still feel that Sophie could...Read full review »
