16: Handling Big Emotions In Public with Emotional Intelligence.
Listen now
Description
A while ago I took our youngest on a day out canoeing... and it was a NEAR disaster. I only say that because 'old me' would have lost it when she became emotional. Getting mad, yelling and maybe even threatening her. Not this time. Learning emotional intelligence has allowed me to evolve so much since those days. Follow me in my story today of what happened when things started going south, how I responded - exactly what I said and did - and the absolute MAGIC that came from it! What I didn't share in the episode (as I forgot!) was my daughter, hours later in the car going home, apologising to me unprompted for what happened. I was blown away. But really, should I be? This is the power of emotionally intelligent parenting. Kids recognising and understanding their emotions, and acknowledging when they reacted in less than ideal ways. Again, magic. If you want more info on my brand new program EVOLVE - head to www.stephaniepinto.com/evolve We are filling up fast, this is an exclusive group of like-minded parents and I don't want you to miss out!
