Terrific great deep dives into Gardner Heist

Pod started out very interesting - storyline and info was intriguing and entertaining. It has now devolved into just having conspiracy theorists on spitting stupidity with aboslutely zero logic or research behind it.

Love keeping this alive from a local guy

I think the subject matter is very interesting and I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts. After 3 episodes I gave up. This podcast is like two guys who did a ton of research and then had 9 stream of consciousness chats. No plan. Nothing in order. Jumping from subject to subject. Loads...Read full review »

8 episodes - should be just 11 minutes with the content you have !

I don’t get all the bad reviews for this podcast. I think the hosts do a great job at investigating and trying to make sense of this mystery. Really enjoy this podcast and this subject. I find it fascinating and the podcast add to the mystery of the ISGM.

The hosts took a fascinating concept and ruined it with their vapid, banal comments and boring presentation; purposeful or not, they come off as simpletons. Unbelievably and inexcusably, guests. are constantly interrupted mid sentence with ads - if you can’t figure out how to make timely breaks...Read full review »

Have only listened to a couple of the eps at the start and most recent interviews so potentially I missed the mountain of ads. So that being said, I enjoyed the exploration of a fantastic event and the deep dive that Tim and Lance go on.

A good drinking game in this episode. Take a shot every time Lyz says “like.” You won’t get five minutes in. Tough to listen once you notice.

Love this podcast. Each episode gives you a different look towards the same goal; finding the ISG art. It keeps your mind working overtime and makes you really look at different forms of art - from Manet to Banksy. I have binged season 1 and 2 while doing puzzles during quarantine. Just starting...Read full review »

Ugh
Worst podcast with the most potential. They took an interesting subject and made it down right boring. No one wants this much Inane banter in a podcast. Very disappointed.

Really difficult to listen to when it sounds like a fuzzy radio reception.

As a museum professional and an art and true crime aficionado I’ve been looking for a good art crimes podcast. I jumped to the Gardner Heist Minutia episode because I’m familiar with the basic facts. I guess minutia was an accurate descriptor for this episode. It made Everests out of molehills...Read full review »

STOP YOUR WHINING ABOUT ANOTHER PODCAST ON THE SAME TOPIC!!!! It’s incredibly unprofessional. Additionally at times content is repeated over and over.

It is such an interesting topic with great interviews. You can tell their strength is in their interview skills. However, the story telling leaves something to be desired. They assume that everyone know the basic facts of the case. I would appreciate if in season three they go back to tell the...Read full review »

Good content, turbo is great!. Need to edit out the parts where one of the hosts completely misses the story and it has to be told all over again....feels amateurish at points. Great storytelling by turbo!

If you’re gonna do a show about art it helps to have a bit more expertise in that field. The banter is boring and the hosts come off like simpletons. Only suitable for teenagers at most.

Look no further than the podcast Last Seen. The Boston Globe does a deep dive into this case, and has access to information you’re not going to get with this Podcast. I’m not sure if Lance and Tim knew the Globe was also working on this case as well, unfortunate timing
Vermonstah via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/17/19
Like a copy of the original, faint and pale in comparison to the far superior Last Seen. Super crappy.

Lack of understanding of art and the art world . Incredibly amateurish way of telling the story. It is like listening to two high school kids. i appreciate their enthusiasm, however. Moving to a pay format is hilarious. “This American Life”, it is not.

I have always enjoyed their slightly off kilter banter. Especially Lance who jumps right in and then works out his thought.

It took well over 20 minutes before the robbery got a proper mention and then was all a guess. Turbo was ok to listen to but I couldn’t suffer the other two any longer and turned off after half an hour.

Going behind a paywall for season 2 is BS. Great topic, but terribly disorganized narrative. Last episode of Season 1 is a waste. Time to unsubscribe.

I was really enjoying this podcast when season 1 ended abruptly with no explanation. Now, they’ve moved the podcast to Stitcher Premium. Sorry, I’m not about to pay when there are plenty of free series. This had pretty much turned me off to all of the Crawlspace Media podcasts and I’ve pretty...Read full review »

A potentially great podcast destroyed by the sheer number and length of advertisements. So close yet so so far away. Episode 6 especially bad

I’m disappointed to say that I found this show really atrocious. The hosts ramble, and the show is ridiculously confusing; not a single person will listen to this and come away w/ a clear picture of the Gardner heist or the details surrounding the crime. Anyone interested in this topic should...Read full review »

The Gardner Heist is such a fascinating event. But this podcast is so poorly executed that I had to stop listening. I don’t want to listen to two guys insert themselves into the narrative.
S. F. Gunther via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/03/18
This applies only to the first three episodes, as I gave up after that point. I love heist stories, find them fascinating, and was really excited about this series. But it so desperately needs a heavy-handed editor. The pacing is too slow, the story-telling is repetitive. It would be far...Read full review »

Unfortunately can’t listen to it and it’s constantly interrupted by ads
duke3514 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 09/26/18
I love the podcast and how it’s setup, but what I don’t like are the constant advertisements. Literally every five minutes. They have a really good story to tell, flick the advertisements and you’ll have everyone hooked.

Having had taken a few art history classes and being an avid fan of white collar I was very excited to tune in. Each episode starts off with an introduction that's over 3 minutes long, even if the episode is only 22 minutes in length. I have now reached the end and haven’t learned anything...Read full review »

This has been a complete waste of my time. They have added no insight to the story whatsoever. It’s like they’re not even trying and they know it.

So many commercial breaks. Stack them on the front end it defeats any chance of being a successful long form to break in with ads so often

They know how to get them back but not happy about it. So they lie to the public. You spoke with Mr. Brand Confirm with him that we spoke over social networking site for at least a couple months I was right up until the new year once you confirm that information I expect to hear back from you

I love this show and have awaited with baited breathe as each episode has dropped but they are explicit in saying there are 13 episodes 1 for each piece of art stolen and yet the last episode - Episode 12 dropped July 14 - the guys said see you in 2 weeks for episode 13th and final episode and...Read full review »
