The Aztec Episode🤯😭
Just finished listening to the final episode, which is over four hours. For me it’s the best finale since Sopranos. I got emotional in ways that are hard to explain here. This show has everything I want in a history podcast. I like the narrator’s neutrality and seriousness. I love the voice acting, the period music, and overall production. If you are still reading this you should’ve just downloaded it already.

This is the start of something special. His use of voice actors and additional sound effects— which is usually done poorly in history podcasts in my opinion— is done perfectly. Great storytelling, research, and delivery.

Love this podcast. Good history podcasts are few and far between without the American bravado/overdramatisation. Great stuff 👍👍👍

For the curious and those interested in the History of human affairs, this is a must listen. Incredible depth. And has been noted really excellent production values. Also, and just as important the host has a lovely posh plumy BBC voice.
