“I don't typically write reviews (perhaps a personal shortcoming I should address), but absolutely had to when I was turned away from subscribing due to the horrible narration of the case by our host, whose name I didn't care to remember because I won't replay another second of that grating voice to retrieve it. It seems all our entertainment industries, in concert with technology, have made the barrier to entry waaaaayyyyyy too low, such that quality of content is severely suffering. I am sure there are PLENTY of out-of-work and underpaid actors who could have made the presentation of this case silky-smooth, welcoming, engaging, and at the very least, easy on the ears. Instead, we have grating, monotonous, beer-soaked vocalization from a filmmaker/would-be-podcaster who really should stick to work behind the camera and away from microphones. There is a purpose for unionization and actor/voice training - because they support the craft and make an audience attracted to the presentation. Contrary to popular belief, not just anyone can do a podcast, or be an actor, or be a model, or be a guru, or whatever our current technology allows these misguided con artists to profess. Go make your films and let true professional vocal hosts/actors do the work. Wondery, shame on you for not being a proper clearinghouse for good content. UNSUBSCRIBED”Read full review »

“Recap after recap of past events made this boring to listen to. Redundant interviews and rambling re-creations of old recordings didn’t keep my interest.”
