“As many reviewers have pointed out, this podcast is high quality baseball talk when Dave Cameron is on the podcast. Cameron is a 5. Just filter out the other podcasts as they are usually almost exclusively junk. The rest are consistently a 1 or a 2 rating. Save time and only listen to Dave Cameron.
Carson Cistulli is generally unprepared and uninformed when the podcast starts rolling. At times it seems he doesn't even know baseball. His meandering, disjointed style really doesn't lend itself to an informative baseball podcast nor as being a good host. There are many podcasts that only tangentially touch on baseball at all (especially any podcast with Dayn Perry). Note to Carson and Dayn: You're not interesting.
Cistulli is a horrible interviewer. His questions and interview progression when interviewing players proves he puts little thought into what he going to ask and how to interview a guest. He thinks winging it by asking ignorant and off-the-wall questions is somehow cool and/or humorous. It's not.
The podcast reviewer "Owlguy" (Feb 9,2012) really succinctly reviewed the positives and the shortcomings of the podcast."Carson and Dave Cameron spend about 30 minutes talking about recent baseball news with actual analysis and opinion." "Dayn Perry and Carson spend 30-45 minutes acting like 12-year-olds."
And I heartily endorse Owlguys' final comment: "I will take less frequency with better quality anyday."
Save yourself some wasted podcast time by limiting your listenting to the Dave Cameron episodes. It's really too bad as there are plenty of great topics on the Fangraphs website that could be discussed more fully. But Carson just boots the ball for an error.”Read full review »

“I like it. I just wish the podcasts were released on a set schedule, not just whenever.
As for the 'casters? Why hasn't there been any effort to clarify the connections of the regular contributors?(ie Cameron, Perry)

“I like the podcast, when they talk baseball. often they get side tracked, and that gets pretty irritating. The host is interesting, I actually like his sense of humor in a quirky way. Good podcast if they stay focused on baseball.”
