Feminism is about everyone not just young women
I really like this podcast, but the past few episodes I’ve listened to have ended by asking guests what advice they’d give to young feminists or young people discovering feminism. Why does this question need to be targeted at ‘young women’? I’m 33 and don’t consider myself particularly young (and I’m sure there are other slightly older listeners to the podcast), but I am increasingly exploring feminism. I don’t think it’s an age thing, it’s a culture thing and lots of women, no matter what their age, are now living in a time where people are talking about these issues more, and want to get involved. Don’t reserve this space just for ‘young or emerging female activists’, it’s a universal woman (and man) thing.
