I don’t even watch movies anymore and still eagerly anticipate each and every episode. Love these guys.

Sean is to Film Junk as Ernie Johnson is to NBA on TNT

Listened to this show for years and it’s still easily my favourite podcast. A bunch of good lads having fun chatting about films. Keep up the good work fellas.

Always an entertaining listen. I don’t even watch many movies, but love this podcast. Highest recommendation.

There’s a lot of useless banter and buffoonery in between the topics that have nothing to do with film especially in the beginning of each show. I’m officially unsubscribing 👎🏾

I’m happy to have discovered this along with all other content this amazing gang is producing. It’s a constant stream of junk that is always great fun to listen to and watch. Drop tier and join the Patreon club for more goodies.

Don’t start doing this podcast promotion garbage. It cheapens your show.

Tried this podcast but It’s basically churlish junior high boys reviewing movies so it’s not for me. Haven’t heard the phrase “almost made me vomit” used this often or really since puberty, so kudos for that. Hearing how one guy mock laughed to try to ruin other audience members enjoyment of the...Read full review »

Great show. Three charming hosts with top-tier banter. I haven’t been interested in Hollywood movies since the late 90s so it says something that I faithfully tune in. The only flaw is the hints of woke politics lurking on the periphery and sometimes even breaking out into full bloom. Barring the...Read full review »

I usually overstay my welcome with lengthy reviews but I have to say: this is simply the most enjoyable film podcast out there in finding the perfect mix of comedy, film obsession and smart intellectual conversation with three different hosts with very different approaches to analyzing a movie....Read full review »

I listen to this film-review podcast strictly for the interaction between Jay and Frank (Frank's laugh is infectious!). Poor Sean has to referee--this show is sublime. Even though they get into side arguments and raunchy comedy their intelligent insight into cinema and their honest opinions...Read full review »

I have listened to a lot of podcasts (I’ve been listening since 2008) and Film Junk is the only podcast that I have been listening to for over 10 years consistently.
Lumberj@ke007 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/07/21
Film Junk used to be one of my favorite podcasts. But since Jay got obsessed with his sound board and is interrupting every other sentence with sampled audio clips, it unfortunately has become completely unlistenable. Sad.

This is and has been my favorite film podcast for 10 plus years. They are not only knowledgeable of the craft of filmmaking but honest in their reviews and own up to mistakes they have made and if they misjudged a film for better or for worse they will own up to it. The banter and hilarious...Read full review »

This is the best podcast there is, film-wise, humour-wise, random-chat wise, retail experience-wise, passion-wise, however you want. If you try it and don't get it just give it a few episodes and you'll start to understand. It is simply the best - thank you for all you do guys!Read full review »

These guys are so much fun to listen to. Really enjoy their back and forth, you can tell they are all close and have a great energy! Informative, light and I love how detailed they get into every movie they pick. I’m in!

Been listening to Film Junk since May 2012. I came for the films, and stayed for the laughs. It’s like listening to my friends talking about movies and banter. I could listen to a 2-hour episode of Jay talking about his customer service experiences.

Excellent podcast if you’re a fan of film! The chemistry between Jay, Sean, and Frank is fantastic. Also can’t can’t forget about good ol’ Reed!

A film podcast from people who love film. You don’t have to agree with them on even issue or film to feel welcome here. I’m so glad I found you guys!

Been listening since fall - started with their recent podcasts before going back to their podcasts from six years ago and these guys are so consistent. Consistently funny, insightful and entertaining. Their movie reviews are always great and they've become the only film critics I trust. Each...Read full review »

I’ve been listening for almost 8 years now, putting me all the way back in my junior year of high school, and I still look forward to a new episode every week. What keeps me coming back is their banter, their carefree, fun attitude about reviewing films. They don’t take themselves too seriously...Read full review »

Informed and light hearted film discussion, definitely no muse en scene and other technical terms prominent here. At its heart is the ongoing drama and interactions of the three main protagonists; Jay, Sean and Frank. Sean the sensible hardworking family man is the metronome of the show who...Read full review »

A few problems with this podcast: 1. Too much rambling. No consistent structure or timing from one episode to the next. I prefer podcasts that respect the time of their listeners a bit more. 2. No diversity. One of the biggest problems with movie reviews is that rarely are these reviewers...Read full review »

Been listening for 6 years and dropped tier at Patreon. Love the guys and hope they go for another 740 eps.

This is by far my most enjoyable podcast. In an environment that has been hijacked by celebrity podcasts it is great to listen to ordinary guys with the occasional guest, talk passionately about film, their lives and problems crossing the border between Canada and America.

I have been listening to Film Junk for close to 10 years and it is by far my favorite podcast.
