In this episode, John uses farming as a metaphor for our mental health. John explains that when certain things are imbalanced in our soil it greatly impedes the ability of that crop (corn, pumpkins, etc) to thrive and flourish. The same thing is true for humans. When certain things like social connectedness, movement, nature, sleep and gut biome are imbalanced it greatly impedes the individual's ability to thrive and flourish mentally.
