Description
Flip Your Lid podcast is dedicated to exploring different therapeutic modalities. In this episode, Kim has the privilege of interviewing Amanda Ferrat who is an advanced Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) practitioner. EFT is an alternative therapeutic method to treat physical pain and emotional distress. Amanda Ferrat is the founder of Value Yourself Counseling. Amanda took the time to share with us about her personal journey to wellness and how EFT tapping allowed her to sail to a whole new level of emotional health which she now professionally offers to her clients. Kim has been curious about EFT tapping for some time and this interview may be just want you need to satisfy your own curiosity about this amazing modality.  Amanda is the founder of Value Yourself Counseling, a certified Advanced EFT Practitioner, emotional wellness counselor, and international speaker. She works hard to create safer and braver containers for others to break through barriers and limitations to build new thought patterns and beliefs that allow them to embody their inner Badass and obtain emotional freedom.  Amanda has a Bachelor of Science in Family Science from Montana State University. She worked in a variety of mental health and social services settings over her professional career. Amanda pursued a Masters of Social Work from Portland State University. Unfortunately, she experienced a great number of losses in a short span of time and grad school was no longer the right fit. She honored her grief and emotional needs instead and began a deep healing journey. She tried talk therapy, EMDR, hypnosis, grief groups, and much more. Yet EFT unlocked the magic for Amanda. She knew that she not only needed to learn EFT for her own healing and well-being, but that it was what she was meant to do in the world moving forward. Amanda combines her knowledge, lived experience, and professional skills in her practice. Amanda works with anyone who identifies as a woman or is non-binary, and adolescents and teens.
