This podcast is simply wonderful. Insightful, knowledgeable and humorous. I listen to the chaps and I’m instantly taken back to a time when the game was in so many ways so much better. Highly recommended podcast.

This was recommended by lineker (clearly) And as I approach 70 with 60 years supporting my home club Wolverhampton Wanderers I expected to listen to more about my clubs glorious past. Aside from the odd reference to Cullis I was mostly disappointed with the hosts focus on boring aspects of their...Read full review »

Rose tinted look back at footy. Dripping with disproportionate nostalgia, over rating past players who would not get a kick in today’s game, glossing over piss soaked terraces manned by bovver boys, ignoring long ball tactics that made many games unwatchable, …… ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. Sell me a...Read full review »

Great podcast, love listening to you guys, was brought up watching Man City in 70s, 80s & 90s, when all you could smell in the kippax stand was beer, farts & cigarette smoke, keep up the fantastic work fella’s.

They couldn’t have described the Leeds v West Brom match in 71 with less accuracy if they tried. “0-0 with Leeds in control” Wrong, West Brom were already leading 1-0 when the second goal was scored - and by Astle, not Sluggett. “Leeds equalised and lost 2-1”. Wrong. The disputed goal made it...Read full review »

This nostalgic podcast is the best football podcast I’ve heard. Brings back so many memories of the 1960s. How about doing an episode on the rise of the Sky Blues in the 1960s under the great Jimmy Hill.

The podcast equivalent of arriving at a good pub and finding that some of your most talkative entertaining mates have found a table in the corner by the fire…. Rich (1st game-Liverpool v Huddersfield Town- 1st Division 1971/72…also saw Alan Gilzean score one when Spurs beat Arsenal 2-0 at the...Read full review »

As someone coming from South America, where football is not only a sport but an act of storytelling, this podcast links such a connection between the inventors of the sport and the south of the passion. Britain exported there football and rock n roll, but many today forget about. This podcast is...Read full review »

This podcast expertly and emotionally spans the generations of why we used to support our local team. Post war Britain we all supported ,either the club of your birth town/city , or the club of your father. We felt a belonging if somehow we influenced the results on the pitch. This podcast looks...Read full review »
