I’m currently between beginner and intermediate French and whilst I can gauge a fair bit of what’s been said it would be more helpful if we go through what’s been discussed after, especially where there aren’t any lesson notes and much of this is conversational. Great episodes though.

FINALLY!! A French podcast that actually explains things - like the R. The podcaster must have knowledge of linguistics or some training as a Speech Path because she is very detailed in her instructions. Merci!

I’ve been studying french a few years now and this show is the answer to the concerns I’ve had as far as sounding native beyond just an accent. Just listened to episode 16, does this affect written french as well or is it a mostly spoken change?

The presenter speaks in English too much and that really made be unfollow the show. It would have been more beneficial if the episodes are all in French and/or with minimal English. The French bits are amazing but too little.

Le contenu du podcast est superbe. J'adore quand elle parle en français, mais elle parle trop en anglais tout au long du podcast. C'est très frustrant et j'ai dû arrêter d'écouter. C'est dommage.Read full review »

This podcast is one the best French podcasts I’ve come across, if not the best. I feel that it’s my my learning experience much better and I’d indeed recommend it to anyone who wants to learn French in a fun and easy way from a French native.

The level is intermediate. Each episode is about 4 minutes long. Half of it is in English. She’s very fluent in English. The other half is in French. She has a beautiful French accent. My suggestion: if this podcast was meant for intermediate level listeners, please speak French only. Or with...Read full review »

I studied French since 7th grade and episode 2 was the most clear practical instruction on the r sound I’ve ever received. Already improved!

This is a wonderful resource. I’ve been studying French online, and doing well at it, but these more casual minutes with a personable, interesting French speaker add a very valuable human dimension to my studies. Thank you!

Interesting and helpful in learning French, but I’m often put off by the patronising ‘don’t do this’ or ‘don’t do that’ titles for each show

I love this podcast! It’s great to learn how to speak “real” everyday French. I took years of French and always found it difficult to understand some native speakers, because the books don’t tech you how people actually speak. So thank you!

She speaks more English than French…. Kinda frustrating if you are treating to learn French.

Caro is a wonderful instructor with a good sense of humor. I’ve enjoyed working on my French with her in her one on one course. The podcasts are fabulous. She covers such useful grammaire that you never learned in school.

I appreciate the podcast and the good energy that comes from it. I actually wrote a prior review, and I came back to change it… To upgrade it. I thought previously that there was too much English in this podcast. It turns out, that was only in several episodes. However as I continue to listen, I...Read full review »

What a great way to understand and learn how french natives speak. Many of us are taught the wrong way at school to speak french and never realise it. It’s great to have a podcast dedicated to learn the French that is spoken in France rather than the ‘grammatical French’ that I have learnt over the years. Thanks, Caroline

I have lived in France for 4 years and I wish someone told me about this podcast before I came here. It would have made my life so much easier in the early days. Now, it’s a useful refresher and explains some of the language I have simply picked-up from natives and repeated. Well played, Caroline!

Caroline helps make my french better by teaching things french courses or duolingo leave out. Relatively short episodes that she makes fun and easy to learn! Thank you Caroline!
