“I faked speaking in tongues. I was about 11 and at a church camp, the staff were going around putting their hands on everyones foreheads, while speaking in tongues. They started telling them to speak, in the language of the lord too. Well my turn came and I started spouting all kinds of stuff, I didn't even know what to say. I was just making stuff up. I was like shabalkah fa shi do so fah la ka...fen ra iuuuuhh. The whole time, he was praying for the holy ghost to get me, and he would like switch back and forth from tongues too normal talking. He believed it, I guess. He finally took his sweaty hand off my forehead. I was terrified he would know I was faking it. I thought that speaking in tongues was an actual language, gods language. I will never forget that day, Lol. Worst day ever, but it was funny, thinking back.”Read full review »
