“I like a lot of what Rachel does and some of her podcasts have been great, but there is so many instances where she goes against feminism. No one ever wonders how men have “done it all“ for years, they are dads while working full time etc, yet she thinks that we as women should feel the need to feel “overwhelmed” even though men are fully equally responsible in the equation of having a family and parenting. Instead of sharing it from that perspective, and making men fully responsible for parenting, just like mothers, she acts as though there should be a difference and moms should do more. And so what if a woman wants to have a kid, than just focus on work while the dad takes care of it? Aka just like men have done for so long. She likes the “idea” of feminism but not the actually work it takes to create the change we need.
“I don’t know any girl friends that are stay at home moms” do you know any guy friends that are? Probably not.
it’s completely okay to not be a feminist but it was a little bit harsh to hear the last podcast and not share this with you, I really hope you can see that I don’t mean this as a form of attack but rather (hopefully) helpful honest feedback.”
