Lost the plot of unbiased reporting
I’ve been listening to Front Burner for years, but the recent reporting on the Israel-Hamas conflict is shamefully biased, and the last episode titled “The Ceasefire Debate” was the last straw for me. The episode starts with an important question by Blinken asking if there is an immediate ceasefire, what happens to the hostages and how does Israel prevent future attacks from occurring given that Hamas has said they would continue to perpetrate them. I was happy to see CBC highlight this as this question is the crux of the “ceasefire debate”. However, after that the episode was 30 minutes of discussion about who is calling for a ceasefire and made zero reference again to that question or any semblance of debate. I don’t see the purpose of listening to this podcast any longer if there is no interest in actually discussing the issues in an unbiased manner.

More reviews of Front Burner
amazing work. Love the feel and topics of this podcast. FYI - today’s podcast has a noticeable feedback sound during some of the recording. It’s very distracting from the amazing journalism ☹️ perhaps best to if it’s something that can be adjusted.

Every morning I wake up to a new episode on a topic that I want to hear about. Front Burner is my favourite news podcast. Important issues covered perfectly.

This show is fabulous when it deals with Canadian issues. Great host, great narratives. When it clumsily attempts to adress USA politics or pop culture insights, it’s pure crystalline cringe.
