Good podcast but these men were clearly guilty
My opinion on this as an experienced investigator is that all this has been in front of a jury AND the court of appeal and the findings of guilt still stands. My own thoughts on balance are that these are a bunch of likely lads who got mixed up in something bad and got in WAY over their heads. It seems fairly clear to me that Eastern European criminals with links to the drug trade placed ‘their man’ on the boat (who had no experience of fishing) and they then went out in sea conditions that were completely inappropriate for fishing and surprise surprise then mooched around the ship where intelligence suggested was being used to import drugs. They then make highly suspicious calls to burner phones in possession of the land based organisation and rather than return to land with a sick man, they carry on for another 17 hours AND go to the exact place where the drugs are later found and are seen throwing objects overboard. It’s naive nonsense to suggest that it’s all an unfortunate coincidence. The surveillance evidence is slightly odd, but the basic fact was that ‘multiple objects’ were seen being thrown over the side….Having said that, logs get amended all the time in surveillance debriefs. That’s the nature of surveillance, which can be confusing….but as long as you show the original version (which they did) then it’s for the officers to explain in court. I suspect that some of the crew didn’t know exactly what they were getting into…and that’s harsh. But Jamie probably knew EXACTLY what he was getting into and I feel sorry of the others whose lives have been ruined.

These bitter lefties wish people would listen to their warped view of their ways and thoughts on what’s best for society.

This seems uneven, subjective and biased. The story on alternative therapies was really disappointing.
