I like the show for its broad spectrum of topics within genetics and its length - perfect on the way home from university.. As a master’s student in molecular biology I find myself specialising on the topic the lab works on which is fine, but I also want to be somewhat knowledable about the...Read full review »

I’m a Year 7 hoping to become a geneticist when I’m older. I listen to it every day to try and join my school’s mini genetics society (even tho it’s only for years 11-13). I have learned a lot about genetics thanks to this podcast and I even managed to pass the year 13 homework (it took me ages)....Read full review »

Loved the episode about CRISPR. Will catch up on previous episodes, very well researched and good story telling without dumbing down the information. Thank you!!

I’m a young’in trying to get into genomics for a career and it’s hard to keep up with the field. I listen to (only) this podcast while I’m at work and I really enjoy it. The mix of storytelling and straight science description is really engaging. (And if anybody involved is reading this...more...Read full review »

About a year ago I made my first entree into life sciences as an account director for a global biopharma and the leading provider of comprehensive genomic sequencing for cancer patients (after more than 20 years in consulting). I bought books and scoured the internet, and then I stumbled upon...Read full review »

Great series. Kat A obviously knows of what she talks. Pity about the music (and the thankfully only occasional ‘amusing’ noises off). The new book is good too. Keep it up.

I am a retired biology teacher who always had a great interest in genetics. In fact I was one of the students of the Open University to complete the first genetics course they offered. Some of my students have gone on to study genetics. I discovered this podcast and was immediately hooked. It is...Read full review »

I’m a doctor with an interest in genetics and this podcast is fun, accessible and each episode is just the right length - you feel like you’ve learned something but you’re not hammered. It’s at the right level for anyone - school or university - who is vaguely interested in genetics,...Read full review »

Good podcast but the gender thing is out of place. That doesn’t means we shouldn’t celebrate women in science and any other fields. And also recognise and celebrate diversity, of any kind. Besides. The silly sounds introduced during the narrations aren’t cool.

Outstanding podcast about both the history of genetics and some curent topics. I taught genetics for 25 years and ran a genetics lab for 35 years, and I have recommended this podcast to my colleagues and former students.

Superb podcast - Great minds think alike. The subject of genomics is vast - it’s an open books that’s being written as we speak but to have a podcast to listen in and out of work of some of the softer parts of the subject is brilliant. Lovely to hear about the expansion of the subject but also...Read full review »
