An Auspicious Debut!
Upon hearing the news that Aisha Tyler was hosting a new geek-related podcast, saying I was excited would have been an understatement . I've been a fan of her work since she gained acclaim for being the first African-American actor to guest star on the 90s mega-hit "Friends." The inaugural episode of Girl on Guy did not disappoint! Aisha's knowledge and love for all things geek is evident, as she begins her first episode by relaying her experiences at the San Diego Comic-Con. Despite her claims of being a podcast newbie, her show sounds amazingly slick and well-produced. Aisha's presence makes you feel as though you and your friends are sitting with her in her living room, kicking back, having a great time. In addition to all of this, the lady enjoys a good laugh! Aisha has an endearing, self-effacing sense of humour combined with a razor-sharp wit. Sorry guys, she's off the market! Also, Aisha's first guest, comedian and vocal talent behind "Archer" on FX, H. Jon Benjamin, was an inspired choice. Just listen as Jon relays an embarrassing, though HILARIOUS story from his personal life that will leave you in stitches! If you are looking for a fresh voice amidst all the standard chatter on most geek-related podcasts, look no further. "Girl on Guy" will seduce you with its charms - and you won't mind a bit.Read full review »
