At long last ... a "real" method for learning guitar theory
I've been playing for over 30 years and know so many songs but never understood how easy it could be to instinctively know where the next chord shape or fretted note would be in relation to the notes I was currently playing. Having listened to all of Desi Serna's Podcasts, I was able to do things on my guitar I hadn't believed possible. I went on to purchase his book "Fretboard Theory" which uses the very simple approach of "shapes" and numbers to explain how to navigate the fretboard. I used to be scared of venturing too far up the neck but a whole new world has opened up to me. I also purchased Desi's 4 DVD's and would thoroughly recommend them along with his book. If you're serious about taking your guitar playing a major step further, you won't be sorry.Read full review »
