Disappointing stereotyping
I was very much enjoying this podcast (and have listened to several episodes and found them interesting) until the anger episode. I was very disappointed by Dr Puff’s comments about “psychopaths in prison who feel no remorse”. This is a very generalist, ill informed comment and I would have expected a doctor to have a more inclusive and empathetic understanding of the prison system. As someone who works directly with ex-offenders and employs people who have found themselves in prison, I can say with confidence that the vast majority of people behind bars are not “remorseless psychopaths”. This is a very narrow mindset that serves to reinforce unhelpful prejudices against people in prison. Perhaps Dr. Puff’s next PhD could look at causation of offending and societal fails that lead to it.

This podcast was my saving grace while going through some hard times of adjustment. Dr. Puff’s words are incredibly uplifting and inspiring. Can’t thank him enough for all the effort he’s put into this project and for sharing so much wisdom. 5 stars out of 5 for sure!

Just give it a couple episodes. I really needed to hear what Dr. Puff has to say. I highly recommend this podcast. Episodes are a great length, not too short but not too long.
