Huge Disappointment
I can't say I "wanted to like" a podcast called Harlots, which is insulting to the subjects so far discussed. But it's a short and attention-getting title *sigh*. I listened b/c I like some of the other Grim & Mild podcasts and am interested in every one of the ladies featured to date. However, the research on this podcast is atrocious! Anyone commenting that it's well researched, pls stop. If you know anything about the topic, you'll hear numerous errors. Does anybody review this research? Or how about doing a more careful job to begin with? Worse is that these errors are spouted by the narrator in a manner that condescends to her listeners and belittles her subjects. That's a lose/lose in my book and totally infuriating. Also let me echo previous comments about the narrator's arch/grating/over the top/condescending (I had to say it again) delivery. Grim & Mild, get your house in order and do a complete overhaul on this one.Read full review »

Informed podcast. Interesting, clearly delivered. Only downside is the energy level of the speaker is a little overboard. Love all Grim and Mild productions.
