Communicating the Olympics Story with Scott Field
Listen now
Description
We welcome Scott Field, Director of Communications at the British Olympic Association, onto this episode. We discuss how communications were led for Tokyo 2020, how TeamGB maintained momentum during the pandemic and how the story was told despite there being no crowds and limited access for press.  Building a career in sport, having worked at football clubs, the FA and now with TeamGB, we ask what the common misconceptions are about establishing a comms career within sport - namely, having an encyclopedic knowledge about a team or sport being essential, when actually good communications skills are the priority.  @scottjfield  https://www.teamgb.com/    This is our last episode of Season3, a mini season for 2022! We are currently working on plans for Season 4 and if you'd like to get involved as a guest, partner or sponsor please email [email protected]
