Dull and uninspired
As others have pointed out this new duo are not up to the standard of the previous occupants of the time slot. Simon Mayo was suprisingly peerless as an interviewer often getting completely original information from his subjects even if they were doing the rounds of all the outlets and whilst Richard Bacon was not as talented he did bring a different perspective to intervierws. Sarah and Dan ask the same inane questions as breakfast tv interviewers and you get no new information on their subjects and their questions seem forced and they lack flexibility in their approach. Having two presenters does not really work in this style of interviewig as they just get in each others way and neither of the presenters have mastered the art of letting their interviewees speak with minimal guidance towards interesting points. The BBC either need to replace these two with a properly skilled presenter or get rid of one the presenters and send the remaining one on a course to learn how to get the most out of people. Maybe then the calibre of guests will improve too. I used to go to bed every night with Richard or Simon (so to speak) but I have loads of these podcasts that are unlistened to and they are the last podcast I turn to once I hae listened to all the others.

I preferred the old podcast, especially for the TV reviews as others have mentioned, why take it out? Interviews are also good but now there is only 1 per week! I don't see the point of the change, it was fine before.Read full review »

Only came across Nihal’s podcast from his interview with Josh and Rob last week. The calming voice and understanding of each of his guests plus the ability to make you feel like you are in the room with them is truly incredible. Well done! Keep it up! Only 290 episodes to catch up.
