Always gets the best from guests. You can tell he has done his homework. His questions are unlike the usual.

Only came across Nihal’s podcast from his interview with Josh and Rob last week. The calming voice and understanding of each of his guests plus the ability to make you feel like you are in the room with them is truly incredible. Well done! Keep it up! Only 290 episodes to catch up.

Great interviewer who let’s the interviewee speak. Very honest by Merson. Comes across as a really nice bloke despite his problems.

Interesting discussions on current topics with no sensationalism or polarising nonsense

Nihal is a truly incredible interviewer ... I don’t know quite how he puts his guests at ease so quickly, but they seem to understand that they can trust him not to be digging for gossip ... he asks extremely well thought out questions & gives them time to answer, without jumping in or...Read full review »

Love him even more hearing his interest in American politics and the utter cluster that the current administration has brought on. Love this podcast!!!

I love the interview with Steve Perry. He is an amazing artist and singer. I can’t wait for his next album. He sounds like a really kind man.

Great interviewer. Knowledgeable about his guests and their fields, finds a real connection and actually lets them speak and tell their own story.

Really enjoying Nihal’s latest interviews. The chat with Jonny Greenwood was terrific & I thought some of the questions were really unusual

Nihal’s stupidity and snowflake like nature are on full display in his interview with Jordan Peterson.
Bas Yisrael via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/13/19
This is a brilliant podcast - Nihal listens and lets the interviewee speak which is rare in an interview.

I miss the tv reviews. Not for me turn off for me .

I preferred the old podcast, especially for the TV reviews as others have mentioned, why take it out? Interviews are also good but now there is only 1 per week! I don't see the point of the change, it was fine before.Read full review »

I enjoy the podcast but miss the TV reviews, would be good to have them back.

This was the only feature I listened to every week. Bring it back. Interviews are better since that football bloke has gone back to to.

Such a shame they've changed the Podcast as it featured their Daily Show a lot more. Where is the TV review section? I used to love listening to that every week! Can you have a separate podcast for that please?Read full review »

Really great start. This used to be a totally different podcast, and that's what the older reviews seem to be about. Relaunched as "Headliners" this week, and so far the interviews are brilliant. The Robert Webb episode is one of the best interviews I've heard in ages. Definitely...Read full review »

BBC 5Live should have the best presenters in the world on air seeing as they can cherry pick from all of the BBC and commercial stations across the whole of the UK. Sarah Brett would be OK on a local station but Nihal Arthanayake is just terrible on every criteria.

What a load of tosh. Asking actors questions like. "So what attracted you to the script?"?? It's called a paycheque you moron. Actors take any work they can so you assuming that they have the luxury to simply pick and choose shows to be in is stupid. Only a-list actors like Tom...Read full review »

Dan allows his religious views and personal interest in sport to come across too much in interviews. Bacon talked to the listener like he knew them and made you feel like you were part of the show. This is formulaic, safe, conservative, dry, middle-of-the-road, dad radio. Richard Bacon, all is...Read full review »

I like Sarah and Dan as presenters but the guests are just second rate. The Christians and Steve Davis? Bacon always had much more interesting guests.

I was a huge Bacon fan, and a huge Mayo fan before him, but every format outstays its welcome and needs to evolve. I shared the trepidation of pairing a sports presenter with a fellow journalist who I hadn’t heard of (sorry Sarah!). But I have found it a pleasant surprise in the extreme - it’s...Read full review »

Sorry,I have give it time but the guests and chemistry is not there. not as good as Bacon nor Mayo

Gee .... I really can't believe I miss Richard Bacon. I won't have expected to like it as much for a while, but this doesn't even compete. Surely this is a good enough slot to attract ONE talented presenter and interviewer. There must be someone out there 5live - look harder, please!Read full review »

The presenters are a lot less arrogant and are much more like Simon Mayo, a welcome step back!
CricketLove88 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/27/15
I'm desperate for decent podcasts for my long commute and former shows by Richard Bacon and previously Simon Mayo were just the ticket. This, however, is awful. The two presenters are so amateurish. Indeed, it doesn't seem that having two presenters even works. They talk over each other,...Read full review »

As others have pointed out this new duo are not up to the standard of the previous occupants of the time slot. Simon Mayo was suprisingly peerless as an interviewer often getting completely original information from his subjects even if they were doing the rounds of all the outlets and whilst...Read full review »

I was an avid R Bacon podcast hero but this pair take interviewing to a new low. Neither come across as insightful, intelligent or witty. Having given them time to settle in I've tried again but find myself trying to find other things to listen to rather than put up with this tosh in the car....Read full review »

The interviews are very bland and it sounds as if the presenters are just waiting for the guest to answer so they can get in the next question rather than explore the answer, Mr bacon used to end most interviews only asking a few questions and always wanted more time. I also think that Dan in...Read full review »

This is a really poor follow on from Richard Bacon and, before that, Simon Mayo. The show has a daft name (which means you can't read the podcast descriptions in iTunes easily) and is stilted to listen to. I think the two presenter format doesn't work at this time of the afternoon when a...Read full review »

They have completely ruined this programme by bringing in two very lightweight presenters who have dummed down the tone of the programme with their idle chatter and who have very limited interview skills.
