A welcome change
I was a huge Bacon fan, and a huge Mayo fan before him, but every format outstays its welcome and needs to evolve. I shared the trepidation of pairing a sports presenter with a fellow journalist who I hadn’t heard of (sorry Sarah!). But I have found it a pleasant surprise in the extreme - it’s not over-worthy, it’s refreshingly free of grandstanding and offering of the presenters’ own opinions, and altogether a more gentle listen that is a welcome change of pace from either the show before it or Jeremy Vine on Radio 2. Dan and Sarah have grown into the role rapidly and the improvement is marked since the first few weeks. I think it’s pitched just right for the slot and the podcast gives the perfect flavour of what they’re going for. Will continue to listen and enjoy!
