Dan is a smart guy, but...
The host of this podcast is a smart guy, and he knows how to put together information to make an interesting presentation. I do not understand, however, why every second podcast has to focus on gender identity issues, even when the topic of the podcase clearly has zero to do with the issue of gender. In this particular podcast we are "treated" to a graphic portrayal of a gay encounter... and then (I suppose to make it even) the inclusion also of a lesbian encounter. What this has to do with Y2K is anyone's guess. It feels like the host simnply wanted to unburden himself. Not appreciated.Read full review »

More reviews of Headlong: Surviving Y2K
Just binged (thanks to article from WSJ). Just riveting! Thank you, Dan. Thank you for reminding us of the craziness, as well as the those who kept it together. My now husband & I went skiing December 29, 1999. On the lift ticket (a relic), it was printed “Goodbye 19th Century!” 😂😂😂

This podcast is possibly the best I’ve ever listened to. It’s sad, hopeful, optimistic and tells incredibly intimate stories. It’s about Y2K but is tells a stories of how our decisions shape our lives.

Episodes 1-6 were great, but the bonus episode was so tedious to listen to that I stopped with 5 minutes left. It was like eating a terrific meal with one delicious course after the next followed by a terrible dessert.
