I have tried running personally post Marine Corps life but failed every time and just listening to this first episode, I can see why. Remaining active is important as he said. Currently, my Monday and Wednesday mornings are an hour of hapkido and an hour of jiujitsu in which I am a student in both so I’m training (not just teaching which I do with taekwondo 5 days a week) but as he mentions with the running and all the exercise built around training to run, it will only you make you physically stronger while assisting in improving your mental and emotional health.

Duane’s podcasts are really approachable. He explains everything in an easy to understand way and he’s bang up to date with his advice. If you’re into any aspect of running I’d highly recommend that you subscribe to this podcast, you won’t regret it.
