“Being Transformed in Relationships”...
I was really disappointed by today’s episode with Zo.. I feel that this is a space for women to be empowered but I did not feel that with today’s episode... Patriarchy is huge within the black community and has to be addressed properly. we all occupy spaces of privilege, regardless. Even if black men do not hold the same power and privilege as white men, it does not mean that they do not occupy a spaces of privilege. feminism and patriarchy are NOT the same and i cannot believe that was used as a comparison. feminism is a response to patriarchy. Also his comment about black women being the bread winner... we have always been the bread winners historically. That comment was so off putting to me. This episode overall just was disappointing... i love this podcast so much and i wasn’t expecting an episode like this.
