A+ approach to narrative history
Adam and his guests do a great job finding interesting subjects and explaining them in an approachable and entertaining way. I especially appreciate the sensitivity and perspective Adam brings to sticky-wicket subjects like religion, moral panics, or colonialism. Start with Colonial South Africa, Watergate, the Iran-Contra Affair, or Octavian & Antony.

Can't put my finger on exactly why I enjoy this podcast so much... I've listened to a lot of audiobooks and Great Courses series (which are tens of hours), so maybe it's the shorter format, two one hour segments, ish, that are easier to fit in. Maybe it's the conversational...Read full review »

One of my favourite history shows. The topics are always extremely interesting and varied. The format of the show w/ guests makes the content both entertaining and easy to follow. Highly recommend!
