Interesting subject matter but low production value
I’m an ex-evangelical and I will watch or listen to pretty much anything that exposes abuses within evangelical spaces. In that sense, I appreciate the purpose of this podcast. But if I’m being honest, I don’t think this is a very good piece of media. It feels rushed, like the creators just recorded some conversations and posted them with little editing or research. A lot of time is spent on filler conversation, while important topics are briefly mentioned but not addressed in a satisfying way (e.g. forced labor, conversion therapy). I’ll keep listening but I keep finding myself wishing the pod was better than it is.

She is a horrible speaker. A lot of rambling going on here. If you all are planning to tell the story, see a podcast, please do so. Otherwise let it rest.

I tried to get invested but it’s slow, boring and not remotely engaging. Super disappointed. Maybe put a disclaimer on...Read full review »

Barely made it throughThe first episode. Low key, meandering and very little that grabs the listeners interest. Too bad. I had high expectations. I don't plan to listen any further.Read full review »
