I know this is a review, but it is really just a message to Mr. Kent Dobson, to say thanks. Thanks for choosing life on those days and after those nights we're living with oneself gets hard.
Thanks for telling the truth to the further degree of your current understanding...because I've lived that story...different actors and different places...but I've walked in those head spaces most of my life.
My father in law (an attorney and ex-fundamentalist) read it last week and said, "Seriously, Joe, you've been talking to me about this stuff for the last 4 or 5yrs, did you get it from this book?"
Obviously, no...but I've never felt a larger "Amen" in my being than when I read your journey.
And you already know this, but it does get waaaay easier and life becomes far more valuable and real when we are honest with ourselves about how little we know.
So thank you for revealing in such a well written way, that we are not crazy but radical.
the ones not in the books and the ones that would scare people if they knew how closely we hold onto beliefs that have not been experienced.
