Could be better
I have a history degree, so I thought this podcast would be amusing. I listened to a few episodes in the hope it would improve-- it really doesn't. The production of this podcast is pretty cheesy. The so-called dramatizations are done with voice actors who use such poorly executed accents that it's at the level of a high school drama club. It detracts from any real historical information and is pointless. Not sure why there are two "hosts" to this podcast except to clearly take turns reading sentences; it accomplishes nothing and does not contribute to the transmission of information to the listener. As to the content-- Some of the research is questionable, and I've heard more than a couple errors (though I'm not sure if it is because of who wrote it, or the two people reading said the wrong thing off their script and it was not caught in post-production). I can't say I'm "disappointed" because I didn't expect much to begin with, but it is unfortunate that a topic this fruitful could be fouled up with such amateurish production.Read full review »

I really enjoy this podcast! I wish there were more like this! You get a little bio of a person and interesting facts. Look forward to many more!

Even though I may not feel interested in whatever name pops up I listen then enjoy. It is a good balance between information and entertainment

I'll get straight to the point: the two narrator format doesn't work for this type of subject matter. Their tone and inflection is grating...Read full review »
