Impaired by shocking sound quality
I was really looking forward to listening to Prof Ian Kershaw; I studied from a number of his books during my 'A' Level History years. The sound of the whole podcast was awful; clearly Prof Kershaw was interviewed over the telephone and this really doens't make for great listening. Even the introduction is poor, with the speaker (the editor of the History magazine) unable to stay either close to the microphone or away from it. A shame, could be a very interesting and insightful podcast to listen to, but it was just painful. Stick with reading the magazine, which is brilliant.Read full review »

Have always loved the show but hated the long wait for the next episode. What a great and unexpected change. Thank you.

Really enjoy listening to these. They may not be the most polished podcast out there, but the content is interesting and the presenters are effective hosts. I love these to listen to one the days I catch the train home from work - interesting without being too taxing on the brain cells :)

As requested in your podcast, just letting you know that I listen from Canada. Very interesting historical gems.
