Outstanding, informative, and it reminds me of my Boston U Seminary experience.
Garry has a great sense of humor, does his homework, and knows how to present his podcast in an interestingly scholastic style. You can't fall asleep when he is teaching. I am thankful for Garry Stevens taking the time to present a fine scholarly show. His podcast though, is not for the faint of heart with a fragile theology of the Old Testament scriptures. I can't wait for each show. Right now he is presenting a number of shows on the Apocrypha and the relevance of Apocalyptic literature to Jewish and Christian theology. I can't wait!Read full review »

I was looking for this type of podcast being not religous but being fascinated by the subject non the less. Garry not only translates but also uses the most up to date data to compare and contrast what is stated in the text.

Whether one is religious or not, it is much easier to understand many Western societies if you understand the Bible. Garry is totally upfront that he is not trying to be objective (after demonstrating the utter silliness of the idea of "objectivity") and representing the views of a group...Read full review »
