Awesome lecture. Facts are one thing, but the connections are what makes history

A "must listen" history course.

I was soooo excited to find this course, but it was a huge dissapointment. He is very boring. If you can get past all the "uhs," and "ahs," the first 15 minutes treats you to why all the other History teachers are unqualified to teach global history. Its too arrogant and smug for me to wade...Read full review »

I have listened to part of a lecture and found it to be interesting and informative. It is, however, not intesting enough to warrant downloading such a huge file. Make it audio only and i will listen to all the lectures with interest. 300+ megs per lecture is just too much to invest. Londo

Too many "uh"s! Sampled 3 minutes from 5 lectures and moved on.

I could not make it past the first lecture. The professor may highly credentialed, but this lecture suggests he is not a great communicator. I wish that skill was valued more highly at our universities.

The right audio channel seems dead in all the lectures, and what remains of the left is scratchy and muffled. The professor seems to spend a lot of time presenting very obscure opinions. It's not clear whether he is professing these as viable alternatives to the mainstream, or is being...Read full review »

Worse lecture. He says "uh" about every five words. He is is disjointed in his talks and meanders pointlessly.

Very nice illustration
Sheldonpotato via Apple Podcasts · China · 02/24/12
Prof. Bulliet is engaging and funny. He ranges widely over all the globe, more thematically than chronologically. He's especially interesting on technology and animals. His refreshing perspective resists the traditional narrative which attributes almost all advances in civilization to the...Read full review »
