Missed Opportunity
Believing the one episode I listened to may have been a poor representation, I tried listening to another. Unfortunately, the hosts entertained themselves with sophomoric giggling and generally behaved like high schoolers trying to impress their friends. The female host practices a vocal fry that is particularly difficult to listen to, and their mispronunciation of common names and places in history indicates how little work they put into getting to know the subjects they’re discussing. The duo’s lack of professionalism shows a lack of respect for the audience. Their lack of basic historical knowledge shows a lack of respect for the subject matter. Given the interesting topics they attempt to cover and the wealth of information avallable to them, these two are missing a great opportunity to produce something good. If they don't care, why should anyone else waste their time?Read full review »
