Substantive and profound
Meticulously produced podcast that draws the line from 9/11 to today while outlining the mistakes that were made when fear, xenophobia and politics are allowed to drive decisions that impact the balance of between civil rights and security. Filled with candid interviews with the people who were involved in the creation, usurpation and corruption of the overly powerful Department of Homeland Security. A rewarding experience to be able to get an in-depth picture from those on the receiving end of the DHS’s ability to run roughshod with respect to what really goes on underneath the headlines and sound bites. A level of detail that makes it difficult to look the other way when people are assigned the role of enemy of the state.
