Everyone said something 'new'
My attention is extremely poor ( so much so it's a medical condition) so I wasn't expecting this to hold my attention, but I enjoyed the entirety. I watched Will on BBC's Question Time a while back and was a little disappointed, perhaps as the media placed an unreasonable burden of expectations onto him, so I wasn't expecting much from this. Somehow this works wonderfully and Will and Chris bounce off each other in a playful but uncontrived way, resisting any temptation to become 'over familiar' as they exchange stories and shut out the listener. Some good thought has gone into choosing the right guests and steering them into an interesting dialogue, perhaps an atypical one for them. Sadly, Owen showed that he had some wonderful insight into his own history and how he has unraveled his thoughts over the years but wasn't able to resist drifting into his usual "political sermon" temperament. I enjoy hearing him speak, but it's well documented. I'd have liked to hear more about Owen on Owen rather than Owen on the world, so the scope of the interview creeped out wider than I hoped. Even so, thoroughly enjoyable and I've subscribed. It's the only podcast I've ever subscribed to and I've had an iPhone for 4 years. I didn't even know where the app was. I really hope Will speaks about his experience of depersonalisation and derealisation because a friend of mine is experiencing it to a great extent at the moment. It's tremendously helpful for people in the public eye to use their powers for good, throwing the gravity of their voice behind the promotion of issues that otherwise would never attract any sort of organised publicity.Read full review »
