“I met Tim Grandage in December 2012 when I was in Kolkata to watch England play India at cricket. Tim was a guest of the ECB Chairman at a dinner party in our luxury hotel. At the end of the evening Tim offered to show me and a friend his now famous old car and drive us round the block. He ‘kidnapped’ us and took us on a three hour journey I’ll never forget that took in the parts of Kolkata that tourists never get to see. I was so inspired by what Tim, Erica and the Future Hope team had achieved that I’ve remained a supporter ever since. This podcast has already brought tears to my eyes as I remember that evening and the impact on me of what I witnessed in just a few late night hours. Future Hope is a wonderful story of hope winning over immense adversity; of an amazing man who inspired others to help him achieve the seemingly impossible.
