Insightful, funny, and entertaining
Joe & Trace bring an excellent camaraderie and wit to their analysis of films ranging from mainstream blockbusters with sometimes-not-so-subtle queer undertones to obscure gems you might have to do a bit of digging to find. An excellently curated roster of guests bring additional perspectives while never detracting from the show's core. Their Martyrs epsiode is quite possibly their best work to date - thoughtful and erudite while maintaing their brand of humor, despite the film's very dark subject matter. So if you don't mind a bit of heaviness with your film analysis, I'd recommend starting there, but you're sure to have a good time with Joe & Trace no matter where you jump in. I stumbled upon this podcast several months ago and was delighted to find a podcast about two of my favorite things (horror movies and being gay). Trace and Joe always have great insights and this podcast has introduced me to a lot of movies I may not have seen otherwise. Love it!
