Meh
I’m thrilled that Jennifer’s story is being told and I enjoyed the format of the podcast. The issue of racism is definitely at play, however. It’s one thing to be fearful of the maintenance team because of their behavior, but the podcast frames it that it’s because they are Mexican and/or undocumented. So far, they’ve mentioned only one maintenance worker that was sketchy and odd; yet collectively, the entire team is blamed with no actual cause. It would even have been more appropriate to say they were men that were strangers which made them suspicious/made the family uncomfortable, rather than focus on the race of the workers. It would have been very easy to avoid this take and I hope production learns from these comments.

Couldn’t stomach it long enough to hear what would otherwise be an important story. Fox News pandering to its...Read full review »
