Listen to people who love the Beatles and can say why interestingly
It's hard to do a podcast about the Beatles (and latterly the Fab4 as solo artists) that doesn't feel like the same old arguments in the same old way, but Eggpod manages it with an approach to interviewing that's serious about serious things - music, love, grief, what these albums mean to people - but not self-important; and isn't afraid to be silly or sharp-tongued. Some guests are uber-fans, some just love the music - they've all, I think, got a connection to music or the arts. I've really disagreed with a couple and been charmed by others, but I don't think I've ever been bored. And the host is great - he draws out the interviewer brilliantly and is pretty Beatles-encyclopaedia himself. If not a candidate for a future host of Desert Island Discs, he should be.Read full review »

Found the Abbey Road podcast unusually disappointing perhaps as the guest hadn’t chosen the album !!!
