“I have always known I have attention issues, but over the last few years, it really came to a head, and I sought out therapy.
I have worked as a Project Manager/Team Leader for over 20 years - but suck at time management(!) I began feeling totally overwhelmed, and hate working from home. (I’m also an extrovert).
Growing up in the 80s in Australia, “ADD” was a very negative subject, the only medication was “Ritalin”, which kids described as turning you into a zombie. So I never sought help until my mid-40s.
Hearing the I Have ADHD podcast cover topics with such sensitivity is delightful.
Some of my favourite advice from binge-ing about 50 episodes include:
- Are you hydrated & did you eat?
- Rest and create routines.
- Pardon/forgive yourself for past mistakes.
- Communicate to others how you work, having ADHD.
thanks & keep up the great podcast”
