For many years my husband has often mentioned it would be great if a CD/ or? was to be issued with all of the Des’s Dedication stories. We both loved listening to “Des” and his Double entendres on our separate journeys home from work in the early noughties My husband often quotes the ruder...Read full review »

This is absolutely BRILLIANT!! The best podcast I have ever listened to. As a Brummie, it brings back some happy memories and reminds me of the talent Dants has! (He’s OK for a Bluenose) Seriously though, this podcast kept me smiling during the lockdown and I am always excited on a Monday morning...Read full review »

Don’t know how you used to get away with it! Brings back some great memories of my time as an apprentice at the “workshops” Hams Hall when barmy brummies was always tuned in to. Any chance of des’ time as a green grocer or any thing with Tom Ross? Keep up the good work!

Adrian Durham calls Ian Danter ‘the pick of the crop’ and he’s not wrong. I used to call Ian the hardest working bloke on radio but now I just refer to him as the most talented bloke on radio. The Barmy Old Podcast is another sheer delight. If you want to remember what life was like before...Read full review »

I am almost speechless listening to this, it’s utterly brilliant. He’s prepared to RUIN other people on TalkSport. Just what they deserve too A very talented impressionist, but the material is superb. Simon Jordan will surely sue him! I have never been so entertained by a Brummie, even Jasper...Read full review »

Some amazing characters and songs. Ian Danter is so very talented as a musician and an impressionist. Bravo Dants 10/10 from me.. Keep up the good work.

Some great characters and brilliantly witty songs written by this talented man. Des’s diaries is just hilarious. Like Dants says how the hell did this get allowed to be broadcast as it sails extremely close to the wind. Top listening.

Jim white stuff really enjoy! From a plastic scouser who spent 11 years in Brumigem. Would give 5 stars if they could incorporate the “Its a goal” hooter. Was that BRMB or WM?

Laughed the whole way through and especially at the Jim White song, get H & J to give you some guests slots so we can hear more!

Only one problem with this podcast. It’s only once a week. Heard about it on H & J and now it’s the podcast I look forward to most. I’m a postman, and I can only hope people don’t get the wrong idea when they see me walking around laughing like a lunatic. I gave this 5 stars. I didn’t want...Read full review »

Remember so many of Ian’s excellent voices, sketches and songs right from the very early days and it’s so good to catch them again along with plenty I’ve missed and the brand new material too. Big fan of the Jim White sketch and song - genius.

First came across Ian (😬😱) on Hawksbee & Jacobs. Heard them suggest this podcast following Ian’s reading of Steve Bruce’s Striker - which is also brilliant and deserves it’s own podcast. Love the Mr Men parodies - that should have it’s own podcast too! Arthur Lowe would think it’s himself if...Read full review »
