“Just discovered this podcast and was very to hear serious historical analysis. Was very disappointed that the host is shocking and really spoils. His guests have much greater knowledge of the subject and rather than guide them in the right direction and host the show he constantly puts his own ignorant views across and gets angry when he is corrected or disagreed with, especially if that person is a woman. On one episode about the French terror he really seems to target and berate the female expert who is clearly just trying to fully explain the historical situation and context but is not being allowed to do so by the host. Clearly has a complex which really taints the enjoyment of listening to this show, as the guests are superb and very interesting. New host please BBC!”
