Good Mental Exercise
Frankly, I've never been a history buff, and some of the subjects fail to hold my interest. But those that do - wow. It's wonderful to listen to experts on esoteric historical and cultural artifacts effortlessly bringing the past to life. Wisdom comes from multiple perspectives, In Out Time provides those perspectives. It has the ability to excite a passion for subjects I did not know existed before Melvin Bragg begins his introduction. Who knew I had an interest in 11th century Middle Eastern philosophy. In Our Time makes me feel like I am back in college, attending an interesting course in the humanities. The topics stretch the mind.
