Good analysis, bad advice.
I’ve learned a lot about the disorder and its manifold dynamics - but some of the advice, by the English woman particular is, at best, a waste of time and at worst, flat out dangerous. She seems to believe there’s some utility in confronting and ‘calling out’ these personalities. I appreciate she intends to empathize and validate the people writing in - but her feedback gets repetitive and the moral outrage wears thin. Also, her life advice is dangerously disconnected from the reality of social life at times, where most people have to figure out how to pragmatically- and strategically - navigate the landmine that is a difficult situation or an abusive person or group. I guess this is why therapists aren’t supposed to play amateur social worker, however well intended. They simply aren’t qualified to do so and can unwittingly exploit the vulnerability of victims and cause further - and even fatal - harm with bad (uninformed, unprofessional, unqualified) advice.
