“This podcast puzzled me at first with the strong narration of the journalist which often felt like reading. But having listened to the whole series now, i can see how fine, ethical and considered the journalist’s work is. She has eschewed gratuity and scandal to focus on the voices of the victims, and the painful histories they need to unearth to consider who was Maria’s killer. It’s not easy listening to consider intergenerational trauma of domestic violence and its even harder on the family but it speaks to their tenacity and faith that rights will be wronged. Bravo.”
