STOP THE CRITICISM OF THIS MAN OF GOD!!!
Joel Osteen is part of a new renaissance of powerful spirit-filled Christian ministers (this includes Fred Price, Jr., John Copeland and others). He has proven himself worthy of the respect which he is due. I have met him and he is one of the most down-to-earth and unarrogant persons I have met (unlike many . What he ministers is true and is needed in this day and age. What surprises me though is that everyone that criticizes wants to blame him for the prosperity message. How stupid!!! If you choose to remain in a quagmire of defeat, poverty and sickness that's your business and as far as I'm concerned you can stay in state that you're in because it's obvious you are touched by satan and choose to be defeated. But for those who have been inspired by what this real minister teaches (I say "real" because a lot of ministers are full of pretense) and their lives have been changed for the positive, Joel Osteen is a God-send. It's obvious that his global appeal doesn't have anything to do with marketing or PR. Joel ministers the Word of God and what he ministers is necessary for today and the future. My question to all of the pundits is this, if you choose to go to a dead and struggling church that could hold 100 people but only has 5 people every Sunday, that should tell you about the quality of the Word that is taught. One should think of church as a restaurant (because guess what, church is supposed to feed you spirtually), I would certainly hope that you wouldn't want to go to a restaurant that can't attract a steady customer base because of the food or service. It's obvious Joel is the Emeril Lagasse of church, because people line up to hear the word from this powerful man of God. That said, leave him alone! He isn't doing anything to hurt anyone - if anything, he's making a powerful difference for the better!Read full review »

I find Joel charismatic, optomistic, and realistic. He doesn't go off on absurd tangents that have nothing to do with the topic at hand. Nor does he shove his ministry down one's throat: his teaching is gentle, organic, and human. I think that his strength, as an orator, is that he can...Read full review »
